We at Guns & Tackle are passionate about fishing and have been fishing all around India extensively – both salt and fresh water for over 35 years. We started fishing with a bent pin and sewing thread catching guppies in our neighbor’s well and over the years have graduated to using Stella’s & Saltiga’s for Yellow fin Tuna and Giant Trevally in the Andaman Islands.

When we realised there was practically no information to be had for people who wanted to get into the sport of fishing and there was a lack of top quality, technique specific tackle available in India, we decided to start a new business – Mad Angler (www.madangler.in)

Mad Angler tied up with a few companies in Australia, Japan and Italy that are market leaders in the tackle business and we’ve put together a line of curated and tested gear ideally suited for Indian conditions – no more will the discerning angler have to either make do with what is available or import specialised tackle on their own.

Whether you need a long casting rod for Golden Mahseer or a short boat rod when fishing for Snakehead or even a rod specifically built for GT popping – we will be able to help you with a suitable rod and a reel to go with it.
